So what is this 'Shave or Save' all about?

Thank you for taking the time to read about my fundraising efforts! My Aunt Linda is the coolest aunt you could ever have. All my friends love her and they've never even met her... they just love the stories I tell about her.

About 5 years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. When she went through chemotherapy and shaved her head, I shaved mine too to be in solidarity with her. Honestly, it wasn't such a big deal at the time as I had been shaving my head off and on for many years.

A week ago, she told me the terrible news that she's been diagnosed with breast cancer. Again. Just yesterday I asked when she expected to lose her hair because I would again shave mine to be in solidarity with her. She told me December 24th was when they expect it to start coming out. As I sat at my computer working with my friend, I thought to myself, "oh man, I really don't want to shave my head. I really like my hair now. I mean, I REALLY like it." So we devised this really cool twist on the 'shave your head fundraiser':

SHAVE OR SAVE?

Would my friends and family (and their friends and family) raise money to help me save my hair or would they band together for me to shave it all off?

You decide! I promise to do the action that raises the most money by December 21, 2009. That's not much time! Please forward this along to anyone you know.

The money raised will be going directly to my Aunt.

  3. OK...our $100 is to save your hair because it looks so great now and maybe she won't lose her hair this time! We just want her well, hair or no hair.
